This is a brief tutorial to help the administrators learn to add and modify pages and elements of pages on your new website. Please feel free to contact Geek Gene if you need any additional assistance.
Uploading an Image
- On the Administration bar select Content Management then Create Content and Image
- Enter a logical name for your image, and press Browse to find the image on your computer.
- Press Upload
- Press Save
- Once the image has been saved, it will take you to the page of the image. On the image itself, right click and select Copy Image Location
If you ever want to find a list of all images on your site, go on the Administration bar and select Content then List and sort by type Image and press Filter. Be sure to press Reset to clear the results after you are finished.
Adding an image to an existing page
- Go the the page you wish to add the image to and press Edit
- Go to the text editor and click where you would like the image
- Press the Image icon (looks like a small picture of a mountain)
- In the URL field right click and Paste the image's location
- Press OK then Save the page when finished.
- Be sure to view the page you just modified to be sure the image appears as you would like it to
Uploading a Document
- On the Administration bar select Content Management then Create Content and Document
- Enter a logical name for your document (i.e. subject of document along with date it was created and which version it is) and press Browse to find the document on your computer.
- Press Upload
- Press Save
- Once the document has been saved, it will take you to the page of the document. On the document itself, right click and select Copy Link Location
If you ever want to find a list of all documents on your site, go on the Administration bar and select Content then List and sort by type Document and press Filter. Be sure to press Reset to clear the results after you are finished.
Adding a document to an existing page
- Go the the page you wish to add the document to and press Edit
- Go to the text editor and click where you would like to link to the document
- Type what you would like to be the link (for example words like "Click here for the document")
- Highlight those words and click the Hyperlink icon (looks like the world with a chain link)
- In the URL field right click and Paste the document's location
- Press OK then Save the page when finished.
- Be sure to test the link to be sure it works.
