POWER Through Choices Data Collection & Retention Specialist

ICAH is currently accepting applications for a Data Collection & Retention Specialist with the POWER Through Choices Project!

This is a full-time position with benefits requiring experience in the fields of adolescent and/or sexual health, as well as 1-2 years working with youth and coordinating or assisting with community-based research projects. A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Psychology, or similar is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in the consent/assent processes, IRB protocols, and the tracking/retention of hard-to-reach research populations.

The POWER Through Choices Project is a national demonstration project to test the effectiveness of a sexual health education curriculum with youth in foster care. The Data Collection & Retention Specialist will be responsible for planning and implementing qualitative survey-based data collection with youth and adults, as well as leading retention and tracking for youth research participants. Training will be provided for these job tasks by ICAH and the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy.

Internships & Practicum Placements

ICAH seeks individuals committed to development an implementation of strategies to promote a positive approach to adolescent sexual health.

Internships and Field Practicum placements with ICAH are open to undergraduate and graduate students in public health, social work, psychology, counseling, education, community studies, public policy, and related fields. Internship hours are flexible and include weekdays as well as some weekends & evenings.

Interested candidates should speak with their school or university’s internship or field placement office to confirm that an internship with ICAH will meet their academic requirements.
